This service is operated by Essential Marketing Methods Nordic AB (“we”, “our”, “us”), under the brand name Ad Layer. We provide a video streaming and advertising service through adlayer.cloud.

What Data We Collect

When you use our video player, we may collect:

Whether a video was viewed.
The percentage of the video that was viewed.
For advertising videos, whether the ad was started, completed, or partially viewed.

We do not use cookies or similar technologies (such as localStorage) to track users across sites.

Why We Collect This Data

We collect this information to:

Understand how video and advertising content performs.
Provide aggregated reports to advertisers so they can measure the effectiveness of their campaigns.

This data is used only in aggregate form and is not linked to individual identities.

Legal Basis for Processing

For the limited purpose of measuring advertising performance (IAB TCF Purpose 7), our legal basis is user consent.
For non-advertising video analytics, we process aggregated viewing statistics to maintain and improve our service.

Data Retention

We retain ad performance data for up to 395 days in order to allow advertisers to compare campaign performance over annual cycles. After this period, the data is either deleted or aggregated further so that it can no longer be linked to specific events.

Sharing of Data

We provide advertisers with aggregated reports (e.g., “65% of viewers watched more than 75% of the ad”).
We do not share raw event data with third parties.
We do not sell user data.

Cookies and Tracking

We do not set cookies or use browser storage for tracking purposes.

Your Rights

Because we do not process personal data such as names, email addresses, or device identifiers, most privacy rights (such as access, erasure, or portability) are not applicable.
